If you’re wondering how you’re going to get through this week, I want you to read this... - It’s okay if you’re having a tough time right now, you’re not weak. It’s okay if you feel lost right now, you’re not a failure. - Everything we do is in the name of safety. So if numbing out in front of the TV is how you feel safe in the world, that’s okay. Should you stay stuck there forever? Probably not- but it’s up to you. You don’t have to do anything. However, you can make the decision to explore the things you do and how they help you feel more safe in the world. - Remember, you don’t have to do this part alone. When you’re ready, there’s people out there who can help you figure out what safety means for you and what that feels like. - So take with you this week that you are not bad, weak, failure, etc. You are a human that suffers AND feels joy just like everyone else. You are a human who keeps themselves safe because that’s how we’ve been built. Take some time to thank your body for helping you survive up until now (which can also be a gateway to self compassion). - Like I always say, you are always worthy and deserving of taking up space. No fixing required.
